Acura Military Appreciation Offer

INCENTIVE OFFER:
• Offer is for one $750 Military Appreciation per new vehicle purchase.
• Offer must be used with a valid new vehicle Acura APR, Acura Leadership Lease® or Leadership Purchase Plan® program through AFS
• One Pay Leases are eligible

• If financing, Client must finance through AFS for a minimum of 24 months or more of regularly scheduled payments

      o Submit the Acura Military Appreciation Offer claim through APC after RDR
      o Then include the claim confirmation along with Acura Military Appreciation documentation (and all other AFS document requirements) within the funding packet, prior to sending the packet to AFS Regional Office

CLIENT REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY:

• Active Duty U.S. Military, (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard and Active Reserve) and their spouses
• Active Duty U.S. Military Ready Reserve, (Inactive National Guard, Individual Ready Reserve, Selected Reserve) and their spouses
• U.S. Military Veterans who are within 2 years of separation from active service, and their spouses.
   o   Veteran: A service member who was discharged or released from service under conditions other than dishonorable
• U.S. Military Retirees (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard and Active Reserve).
   o   Military Retiree: Service members who remain on active duty or serve in the Reserves or Guard for a sufficient period of time (usually a minimum of 20 years)
• Spouses of U.S. Military Retirees (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard and Active Reserve)
• Members of Gold Star families

Active Duty U.S. Military and Ready Reserve Client Requirements:
• Client must provide a copy of Military Leave and Earnings Statement (LES) or Defense Finance and Accounting (DFAS) confirmation form
• Must meet AFS credit criteria and sign an AFS retail finance, Acura Leadership Leasing® or Acura Leadership Purchase Plan® (“balloon”) contract

U.S. Military Veteran Requirements:
• Veteran Clients must be within 2 years of separation
• Must provide a copy of DFAS RAS confirmation form, Report of Separation (DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), indicating Honorable Discharge or General Discharge/Under Honorable Conditions
• Must meet AFS credit criteria and sign an AFS retail finance, Acura Leadership Leasing® or Acura Leadership Purchase Plan® (“balloon”) contract

U.S. Military Retiree Requirements:
• Retiree Clients must provide a copy of DFAS Retiree Account Statement (RAS), Report of Separation (DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty) or indicating Honorable Discharge or General Discharge/Under Honorable Conditions
• Must meet AFS credit criteria and sign an AFS retail finance, Acura Leadership Leasing® or Acura Leadership Purchase Plan® (“balloon”)

U.S. Military Spouse Requirements:
• All Clients must meet AFS credit criteria and sign an AFS retail finance, Acura Leadership Leasing® or Acura Leadership Purchase Plan® (“balloon”) contract

• Spouse of Active Duty U.S. Military and Ready Reserve Personnel:
   o Must provide proof of relationship by presenting ID, and a copy of spouse’s LES or DFAS confirmation form.  Only a copy of spouse’s LES or DFAS confirmation form will be retained by the dealership for verification.

• Spouse of U.S. Military Veteran:
   o Veteran/Spouse must be within 2 years of separation
   o Must provide proof of relationship by presenting ID and a copy of spouse’s DFAS RAS confirmation form, Report of Separation (DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), indicating Honorable Discharge or General Discharge/Under Honorable Conditions.

• Spouse of U.S. Military Retiree:
   o Must provide proof of relationship by presenting ID and a copy of spouse’s DFAS RAS, Report of Separation (DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty), indicating Honorable Discharge or General Discharge/Under Honorable conditions


Gold Star Family Requirements:
• American Gold Star families are immediate relatives (Widow, Parents, Next of Kin) of members of the U.S. Armed Forces who have been killed in combat or in support of certain military activities.
   o "Parents” includes mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, mother through adoption, father through" adoption, and foster parents
   o "Next of Kin" only includes children, brothers, sisters, half-brothers, and half-sisters; and the term "children" includes stepchildren and children through adoption"
• Gold Star Family members must provide one of the following:
   o   Copy of the Report of Casualty (DD Form 1300)
   o   Copy of the application for Gold Star Lapel Button (DD Form 3)
   o   Other official military service documentation supporting Gold Star status
• Must meet AFS credit criteria and sign an AFS retail finance, Acura Leadership Leasing® or Acura Leadership Purchase Plan® (“balloon”) contract
