What Happens After You Return the Vehicle?

After grounding:

  • The leasing company processes the vehicle

  • Final charges are calculated

  • Your lease account is officially closed

You can then:

  • Start a new lease

  • Purchase a different vehicle

  • Walk away (after settling any fees)

How to Prepare for a Lease Return

  • ✔ Schedule inspection early

  • ✔ Repair minor damage if cost-effective

  • ✔ Check mileage totals

  • ✔ Review your lease agreement

  • ✔ Confirm disposition fee waiver eligibility
