Lease an Audi: 2026 Lineup, True Lease Costs, Bonuses & Taxes
Vehicle Leasing and Financing Simplified
If you last leased an Audi three years ago, a lot has changed. The A4 is gone, replaced by a new A5. The Q3, Q5, A6, and Q7 have all been redesigned or are about to be, and the brand's biggest SUV yet, the Q9, is on its way. The quieter change matters more for your wallet: every 2026 Audi now comes with three years of scheduled maintenance included, even when you lease.
This page walks through what an Audi lease really costs once you add Audi Financial Services' fees, which Audi bonuses you may qualify for, how luxury-price taxes work in some states, and what your options are when the lease ends. For live prices, see the offers below, or enter your ZIP code to lease an Audi near you.

Audi's Lineup Was Rebuilt. Here's the Lease-Relevant Version
Audi has replaced or redesigned most of its core models since 2025. That matters for leasing, because residual value drives your payment and lenders set it model by model, year by year. It also means older deal articles often name cars that no longer exist.
| Model | Type | Starting price* | Know this before you lease |
|---|---|---|---|
| A3 / S3 / RS 3 | Compact sedan | $41,395 | Audi's lowest starting price. A refreshed 2027 A3 has been announced. |
| A5 / S5 | Midsize liftback | $51,495 | Replaces the A4 sedan and old A5 Sportback. Power liftback instead of a trunk. |
| A6 | Midsize sedan (gas) | $65,395 | All-new generation for 2026. |
| A6 Sportback e-tron | Midsize sedan (electric) | $67,995 (2027) | Same name as the gas A6, different car and platform. |
| Q3 | Compact SUV | $44,995 | All-new for 2026, one 255-hp engine, quattro standard. |
| Q4 e-tron | Compact SUV (electric) | $51,895 | Audi's most affordable EV. |
| Q5 / Q5 Sportback / SQ5 | Midsize SUV | $54,095 | Redesigned for 2025.5. The only Audi family built in North America (Mexico). |
| Q6 e-tron | Midsize SUV (electric) | $65,795 (2027) | Newer EV platform, up to 325 miles of estimated range. |
| Q7 / SQ7 | 3-row SUV | $63,295 (2026) | A redesigned 2027 Q7 is taking orders now, so 2026 models are the outgoing version. |
| Q9 / SQ9 | Full-size 3-row SUV | About $89,000 (2027) | Audi's largest SUV ever. Due at dealers in late 2026. |
*Starting price for the base trim, including destination. Excludes tax, title, license, and dealer fees. Dealers set their own prices. The Q8, A8, RS models, and e-tron GT are also available at higher price points.
Why the names can be confusing
In 2024 Audi said even numbers would mean electric and odd numbers gas. In February 2025 it dropped that plan. Numbers now go back to meaning size, so a gas A6 and an electric A6 e-tron can sit side by side. When you compare lease offers, check the full name, because an "A6" lease and an "A6 e-tron" lease are for very different cars.
Every Audi is imported
Audi doesn't build cars in the U.S. yet. Most models come from Europe, which currently faces a 15% U.S. tariff on vehicles, and the Q5 family comes from Mexico. Tariff costs can show up in MSRP, and because a lease payment is built on MSRP and residual value, they show up in your payment too. How much depends on current policy and the dealer, so compare complete offers rather than assuming a price.
Source and method: Starting prices from Kelley Blue Book's Audi lineup page, checked September 28, 2026 (Q9 figure from CarGurus, July 2026). Naming change per Audi's February 2025 announcement, as reported by The Car Connection. Q3 details from the Audi newsroom. Tariff rate as reported in May 2026; tariff policy has changed several times since 2025.
Maintenance Is Now Included, and That Changes Audi Lease Math
Starting with the 2026 model year, every new Audi comes with Audi Signature Care. It covers the scheduled services at 1 year/10,000 miles, 2 years/20,000 miles, and 3 years/30,000 miles (whichever comes first), plus one brake fluid service. Audi says it applies to leased cars as well as purchased ones, and any authorized Audi dealer in the U.S. will honor it.
For a lessee, that's a real change. Before, you either paid for each service or bought a prepaid Audi Care plan. Whether Signature Care covers your whole lease comes down to how far you drive:
| Your lease | Services during the lease | Covered by Signature Care? |
|---|---|---|
| 36 months, 10,000 miles a year | 10k, 20k, 30k | Yes, all of them |
| 36 months, 12,000 miles a year | 10k, 20k, 30k (lease ends at 36k) | Yes, all of them |
| 36 months, 15,000 miles a year | 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k | The first three; you pay for the 40k service |
| 39 or 48 months | Adds a 4-year service | Not the 4th-year service |
Watch out for leftover 2025 models
Signature Care applies to 2026 and newer models. A leftover 2025 Audi on a dealer lot can carry a bigger discount, but it doesn't come with included maintenance. Audi still sells prepaid Audi Care plans for 2025 and older models. When you compare a 2025 and a 2026 lease, add the cost of three services to the 2025 side before you decide which is cheaper.
Signature Care isn't a wear-and-tear plan. Tires, brake pads, and wiper blades are still yours to replace, and worn-out tires can be billed at turn-in.
Source and method: Coverage details from Audi of America's 2026 lineup announcement (August 21, 2025) and the Audi Care page on audiusa.com, checked September 28, 2026. The mileage table assumes Audi's standard 10,000-mile/1-year service interval.
The Audi Financial Services Lease, Line by Line
Most Audi leases are written by Audi Financial Services (AFS). The advertised payment leaves out several charges that are almost always there. These are the ones that show up in AFS lease disclosures this year:
| Charge | Typical amount | When you pay it |
|---|---|---|
| Acquisition fee | $895 | At signing, or rolled into the lease |
| Security deposit | $0 in most current offers | At signing, if required |
| Excess mileage | $0.25 per mile | At lease end |
| Turn-in (disposition) fee | $495 | At lease end; waived if your next Audi goes through AFS (see below) |
| Purchase option fee | $395 | Only if you buy the car at lease end |
| Dealer documentation fee | Varies by dealer and state | At signing |
| Excess wear and use | Based on inspection | At lease end |
Audi lease ads usually assume 10,000 miles a year. If you drive 12,000, that's 6,000 extra miles over 36 months, or $1,500 at 25 cents a mile. Ask what extra miles cost at signing and compare that with the 25-cent overage rate.
What an Audi lease really costs per month
The monthly payment alone doesn't tell you much. Add everything you'll pay over the lease and divide by the number of months. Here's an example with round numbers:
- $519 a month for 36 months
- $4,500 due at signing (includes the first payment and the $895 acquisition fee)
- $495 turn-in fee at the end
That's $4,500 + (35 × $519) + $495 = $23,160 over three years, or about $643 a month. That $643 is the number to compare between offers, not the $519.
Audi also sells optional protection plans through Audi Pure Protection, including lease excess wear coverage. They can be worth it if you park on the street or have kids, but they're optional, so you can decline them.
Source and method: Fee amounts from AFS closed-end lease disclosures published by Audi dealers for August–September 2026 offers ( example). Your contract lists the actual amounts. The example uses illustrative numbers, not a current offer, and excludes taxes and registration.

Audi Bonuses and Special Programs
Audi runs its offers in monthly cycles. The amounts below are the latest Audi has published, from the September 2026 cycle that ends September 30. October offers usually appear around the first of the month, and amounts often shift by model, but the program types come back again and again.
| Program | Recent amounts | Who qualifies | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Audi Customer Bonus | $2,500 (A5, Q5 family), $3,500 (A3), $6,000 (Q7 55, Q8 55) | Anyone leasing or buying the eligible model | Model- and trim-specific; often already built into advertised payments |
| Audi Loyalty Bonus | $750 (Q3, A3), $1,000 (A5, Q5 family), $1,500 (A6, A8, Q7, Q8) | You, or someone in your household, own or lease a 2015 or newer Audi | Proof of ownership or shared address required; can't be combined with conquest offers |
| Conquest offers | Varies | Owners of certain competing brands | Can't be combined with the loyalty bonus |
| Audi Military Select | $1,000 | Active duty, reserve, National Guard, veterans, retirees, spouses, surviving spouses, and immediate family, verified through ID.me | Runs January 6, 2026 to January 4, 2027; excludes RS models and some newer e-tron models |
| College Graduate Program | Credit approval help, not cash | Graduated in the last 24 months or graduating within 6 months (associate's degree or higher, including RN/LPN), with a job or written job offer | The monthly payment can't be more than 25% of your gross monthly income |
| First-time Buyer Program | Credit approval help | Shoppers new to auto credit | Terms set by AFS |
The loyalty bonus has one detail people miss: the household rule. If your spouse or partner leases an Audi and you share an address, you may qualify even if you've never owned one yourself.
Can Audi bonuses be combined?
The Customer Bonus usually stacks with the Loyalty Bonus. One Audi dealer's recent Q5 lease was priced with both, a $2,500 Customer Bonus and a $1,000 Loyalty Credit. Loyalty and conquest offers can't be used together. Before you compare payments, ask which bonuses are already baked into the number you're looking at, since some ads assume you qualify for loyalty cash.
When you create an AutoBandit account, you answer a few questions about incentives and rebates. Each offer page then shows which incentives, if any, are reflected in its price.

Leasing an Audi e-tron Without the $7,500 Credit
Until late 2025, most Audi EV leases got cheaper through a $7,500 federal credit that leasing companies passed through to lessees. That credit ended for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. A low e-tron lease payment today comes from Audi's own money (Customer Bonus cash, subsidized rates) or from the dealer, not from the government.
Audi has been putting real money into EVs. In late 2025 it offered a $6,000 Customer Bonus on the Q6 e-tron, for example. The current e-tron lineup for leasing is the Q4 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, A6 Sportback e-tron, and e-tron GT family. The Q8 e-tron ended production in 2025, so any you see are leftover stock.
Why an EV lease can be the safer bet
Used EV prices have fallen faster than many lenders expected. When you lease, that risk belongs to AFS, not you. If the car is worth less than the residual value at the end, you hand it back and walk away.
Audi's own behavior shows it. In September 2026, Audi offered current EV lessees money off their lease-end buyout price: $10,000 on the e-tron GT, $5,000 on the Q4 e-tron, and $4,000 on the Q8 e-tron. That offer ended September 30, 2026, but it had already run in a smaller form since July. If your e-tron lease is ending, ask the dealer whether a new version is running before you decide to return it.
Some states still offer their own EV incentives. New Jersey's Charge Up program, for example, has offered a point-of-sale rebate on EVs with an MSRP up to $55,000, which would include some Q4 e-tron trims. State programs open and close on their own schedules, so check your state's energy office.
Source and method: Federal credit end date per IRS clean vehicle credit rules. EV buyout amounts from CarsDirect's report on Audi's September 1, 2026 dealer bulletin. New Jersey program details from the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center. Checked September 28, 2026.
Taxes and Fees That Hit Luxury Leases Harder
Sales tax on a lease works differently from state to state. Some states tax each monthly payment, some tax the total of payments upfront, and a few tax the full price of the car. On a $55,000 Audi, those differences add up quickly. A few other charges affect luxury cars in particular.
New Jersey's luxury surcharge
New Jersey adds a one-time 0.4% surcharge to new vehicles with a sale or lease price of $45,000 or more, or with fuel economy under 19 mpg. For a lease, the state bases it on the capitalized cost in your contract. Almost every Audi crosses the $45,000 line, so on a $55,000 Q5 that's about $220 at signing. Certified zero-emission vehicles are exempt. A bill introduced in 2026 would raise the threshold to $70,000, but it hadn't passed as of this writing.
New Jersey EVs are no longer sales-tax-free
New Jersey used to exempt EVs from sales tax. That ended in stages, and EVs sold since July 1, 2025 pay the full 6.625% rate. EV owners in New Jersey also pay an annual zero-emission vehicle fee at registration. Our New Jersey leasing guide covers the current amount.
Personal property tax
Some states and towns charge an annual tax on the value of a vehicle, including leased ones. Connecticut and Virginia are two examples in the states AutoBandit serves. Because AFS owns the car, the bill usually goes to AFS, which passes it on to you. Any unpaid personal property tax also shows up on your final lease invoice, according to AFS.
Leasing an Audi for business
If you use a leased Audi for business, you may be able to deduct part of the lease payments. For higher-priced cars, the IRS requires a "lease inclusion amount" that trims that deduction. The rules are in IRS Publication 463. This one is worth a call to your tax advisor.
Source and method: Surcharge rules from the New Jersey Division of Taxation and a 2006 NJ Motor Vehicle Commission dealer notice. EV tax dates from the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels Data Center. Property tax treatment from the Audi Financial Services FAQ. Checked September 28, 2026. General information only, not tax advice.
Ending an Audi Lease: Return, Extend, or Buy
You have three real choices when an Audi lease ends, and AFS gives you more room with each one than most people realize.
Return it
- About 90 days out: AFS mails you a wear-and-use booklet with a small measuring tool, so you can check dents and scratches yourself.
- Before turn-in: Book the free inspection. A representative can come to your home or office, and the report stays valid for 90 days as long as no new damage happens.
- If you fix anything: Send the repair receipt to AFS before you turn the car in, so you aren't billed for damage that's already repaired.
- At turn-in: Bring every key, the manuals, and anything that came with the car, like cargo covers. Missing items can be charged.
The $495 turn-in fee is waived if you lease or buy a new or Certified Pre-Owned Audi through AFS within 90 days of returning your car. That's a generous window, and AFS may also waive the security deposit on your next Audi.
Extend it
If your next Audi isn't here yet (the 2027 Q7 and Q9 are good examples), AFS may let you extend your lease for up to six months, or up to twelve on some models. Your mileage allowance goes up proportionally. In some states the monthly payment can rise slightly because of tax rules.
Buy it
Your contract lists a purchase price for the end of the lease, plus a $395 purchase option fee. If you buy, you generally don't pay mileage overage, which helps if you drove a lot. For EVs, check for a lessee buyout incentive first. Audi has run them in 2026, and they can cut thousands off the price.
Source and method: Turn-in steps and fee waiver from Audi Financial Services' turn-in process and FAQ pages; extension terms from AFS's lease transition disclosures on audiusa.com. Checked September 28, 2026. Eligibility and waivers depend on AFS approval and your contract.

Audi Lease Questions We Hear Most
How do I lease an Audi near me through AutoBandit?
Enter your ZIP code to see pre-priced offers that verified dealers list for your area. AutoBandit currently serves buyers in 16 states: California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Dealers set their own prices, and AutoBandit doesn't negotiate on your behalf. You compare offers and can complete the transaction online, and delivery is available for Audi deals just as it is for other makes. The offer and dealer confirm the final details.
Should I lease a 2026 Q7 now or wait for the redesigned 2027?
The 2027 Q7 is a full redesign, so the 2026 is now the outgoing model. Outgoing models often get bigger bonuses (some 2026 Q7 trims have carried a $6,000 Customer Bonus), which can make them cheap to lease. If you want the newest design, you'll likely pay more for the 2027 early on. A 2026 lease still comes with three years of included maintenance.
Is a leftover 2025 Audi a better lease deal than a 2026?
Sometimes, but do the math. A 2025 may carry a larger discount, but it doesn't include Audi Signature Care. Add the cost of three scheduled services to the 2025 lease before you compare.
Can I lease a Certified Pre-Owned Audi through AutoBandit?
No. AFS does work with Certified Pre-Owned Audis, but dealers on AutoBandit list new vehicles only.
What credit score do I need to lease an Audi?
Audi's advertised lease payments are for "highly qualified" customers, meaning AFS's top credit tier. AFS doesn't publish a cutoff and looks at your whole application. Prices on AutoBandit are adjusted by credit tier, which is why you're asked for yours when you sign up. If you're new to credit, ask about AFS's College Graduate or First-time Buyer programs.
Should I lease or buy an Audi e-tron?
For most people, leasing an EV carries less risk. Used EV values have been unpredictable, and a lease leaves that problem with AFS. If you end up loving the car, you can still buy it at lease end, sometimes with a buyout incentive. Our car leasing FAQ goes deeper on residual value, money factors, and lease-versus-buy math.
